Your privacy
Privacy policy
OurFund is designed to keep personal goals private and shared-fund data limited to accepted group members. This policy explains the information used to provide the service.
Effective 5 September 2026 · Last updated 5 September 2026
1. Information we process
- Account information such as email, name, optional mobile number, and verification status.
- Goals, families, members, birthdays, contribution rules, statements, deposits, payments, expenses, notes, and audit history that you or authorized group users enter.
- Workspace memberships, roles, invitations, notification choices, and push-subscription device data.
- Limited technical and product-usage information, such as app version, device/browser context, route usage, and errors.
- Offline data and preferences stored locally on your device, including queued supported actions and dashboard snapshots.
2. Why we use information
We use information to authenticate you; provide private and shared fund features; calculate progress and pending contributions; synchronize offline actions; deliver requested notifications; secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service; and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who can see your information
Personal goals and private birthday reminders are visible to their owner, subject to restricted administrative access needed to operate and secure the service. Shared-group information is visible according to group membership and role. Group managers can manage relevant shared records and access. Always review a group before joining or adding data.
4. Service providers
OurFund relies on providers including Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for application hosting, and optional PostHog analytics. Browser and operating-system push services process notification delivery endpoints. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
5. Notifications and analytics
In-app and push notifications are controlled from Settings. Browser push requires your explicit permission and can be revoked in both OurFund and device settings. Product analytics are intended to use non-sensitive event properties; financial amounts, names, emails, phone numbers, notes, and payment references must not be sent as analytics event properties.
6. Storage, security, and retention
We use access controls, row-level database policies, encrypted transport, and audited workflows to reduce unauthorized access. No system is completely secure. Information is retained while needed to provide your account and preserve shared financial history, and as reasonably required for security, disputes, backups, and law. Local PWA data remains on a device until cleared by the app, browser, operating system, or user.
7. Your choices and rights
You can edit profile and notification preferences in Settings and manage records where your role permits. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal data, subject to shared-ledger integrity and legal retention needs. You can remove local data by clearing the site's storage or uninstalling the PWA.
8. Children and sensitive information
OurFund is not directed to children for independent account use. Adults managing a family group should add only information that is necessary and that they are authorized to manage. Do not store passwords, bank credentials, government identifiers, or other unnecessary sensitive information in free-text fields.
9. Updates and contact
We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available here. Privacy questions and requests can be sent through the creator contact linked in the footer; identity verification may be required.
